Dedicated (Leased) Line Access

Worrying about your  phone bill while surfing the internet can be a thing of the past. AlgoaNet can put a ceiling on those high phone bills that internet addicts and small to medium sized companies are so accustomed to. It is not unusual for a serious internet surfer to run up a R900 bill just by dialing the internet, plus still having  to pay their  subscription fees. 

What is a leased line?
A leased line is a permanent connection to the Internet. Typically, a leased line is installed between your premises and an Internet Service Provider such as AlgoaNet. You do not experience dial-up delays in your e-mail or Internet browsing due to the fact that you are permanently connected. Businesses can  benefit from this by sharing one high-speed connection, thus also reducing  connectivity costs per user, while providing a single point of control. The physical line itself is supplied and billed by Telkom and the Internet connection (the service provided over that line) supplied and billed by AlgoaNet.

Two options exist for leased line connections both offering certain advantages:

Analogue Leased Lines
The user is provided with permanent Internet access at modem speeds. This service is suited for the home user to small to medium sized businesses with low to medium data volumes. It offers 24 hour connectivity to the Internet , providing e-mail facilities and web browsing to all computers on the network. It offers an acceptable transfer rate of approximately 20 to 33.6 KB. The advantage of an analogue leased line is reduced telephone costs. 

Connecting the home or office up permanently to the internet through AlgoaNet, using a dedicated Telkom line, costs between R800 and R1 500  per month( depending on the services you want included ), plus a fixed Telkom rate based on the distance from the ISP. Digital Leased Lines
The user is provided with high-speed (typically 64Kb) permanent Internet connectivity through digital transmission facilities. This service offers dedicated connectivity to the Internet and e-mail facilities. It offers access for large companies with heavy usage requirements. Diginet leased lines offer the client high data transmission rates and error free transmission at increased transfer speed. This service is the ideal solution for large businesses

Connecting your company up permanently to the internet through AlgoaNet, using a dedicated 64k diginet  line, costs +- R4000  per month( depending on what services you want included ), plus a fixed Telkom rate based on the distance from the ISP.
